Montoya Shaffer, LLC is pleased to announce the addition of Romina Gomez, Esq. Ms. Gomez focuses her practice primarily on the representation of individual and corporate clients in immigration law. Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Ms. Gomez moved to the Philadelphia area in 2001 to pursue her undergraduate studies at the Bryn Mawr College. After earning her B.A. in Mathematics in 2005, she went on to work as an Immigration Paralegal for a family based immigration firm and an international employment immigration firm. En 2012, she graduated from Temple University, Beasley School of Law where she was a member of the Rubin Public Interest Law Honor Society, as well as the co-chair for the Immigration Project at Temple University, Beasley School of Law’s National Lawyer’s Guild Chapter. As a co-chair she planned, coordinated, and provided training for law students in preparation for Citizenship Days in Allentown, Pensilvania. While attending law school, Ms. Gomez interned with HIAS Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and the Central American Resource Center (CARECEN) in Washington, D.C. helping underserved immigrant populations. Specifically, her work at these organizations focused on U visa applications for victims of domestic violence. Ms. Gomez currently serves as a Co-Chair on the Philadelphia Chapter NLG U Visa Project.
